In the first Jacktopian Presidential election, Vice President Jon Wascher challenged incumbent President Jack Kelley. Just a few months before, Wascher had beat Kelley in the very controversial 2016 Rainbow Nation Presidential election. Wascher was confident that he could pull the upset in this election. After an early lead, however, Wascher was defeated by a vote of 10–9, the closest final result in a Jacktopian presidential election to date.

Leader 1

Incumbent Leader 2 John Henry Tasset took on Xavier Berhow, who had lost the Leader 2 election to James Green the week before, for the position of Leader 1. Tasset, who had found a loophole allowing him to run for Leader 1, had won an uncontested election for Leader 3 a couple weeks prior. Tasset was considered a heavy favorite and it was thought would hold two seats in the Jacktopian Senate. Berhow, however, was able to pull the upset over Tasset to win an election for the only time in his political career, as he lost reelection to Will Baxa in 2018 and lost reelection for Leader 5 to Gavin Potter in 2021. This marked the first time an incumbent Leader lost a Leader election in Jacktopia.

Leader 2

James Green and Xavier Berhow ran for Leader 2. Green had lost to Landyn Kavan for Leader 5 a few weeks prior, and was expected to once again lose badly. As the votes began to come in, it became a very heavily contested election. Immediately after his loss, Berhow challenged John Henry Tasset for Leader 1 in what many believed would be an impossible election for him to win.

Leader 5

In the first Leader election in Jacktopian history, Landyn Kavan easily defeated James Green 10–3. Green would later run for and win the Leader 2 position over Xavier Berhow. Berhow would then run for and win the Leader 1 election over heavy favorite, John Henry Tasset. All of these elections created a very strange, and now impossible, chain of upsets in elections.

In the second and final Rainbow Nation Presidential election, incumbent President Jack Kelley took on John Henry Tasset, the founder and first president of Rainbow Nation. During this election, Tasset and Kelley took part in the first debate in Jacktopian history. It would later be revealed that Tasset attempted election fraud similar to that in the 2016 election. Despite this, and also threatening any person who voted for Kelley to be kicked out of Rainbow Nation, Kelley forced the tie. The election then went to a government vote of 5–4, with the deciding vote being that of Representative Noah Steffinsmeyer, Jack Kelley was elected to a second term as president. Kelley was the only President of Rainbow Nation to serve multiple terms.
