Adviser of the President of Indokistan (Indonesian: Penasihat Presiden Indokistan) was a short-lived political office existed in the Republic of Indokistan from September to October 2011. The office's primary function is to advise Indokistan's president and, later, the prime minister.

Farhan Abbas, then former president, was the only officeholder. The office was abolished during the controversial de-Farhanisation in October 2011, when Farhan was stripped from all of his political offices.

History

The office was established shortly after Dicky L. K. took office as president in 16 September 2011. During the formation of his cabinet, Mustafa Hakim announced Dicky's predecessor and national founder Farhan Abbas as presidential adviser.

Mustafa's decision to establish the office was motivated by his determination to support the political transition for Dicky, which he believed is still needed. Farhan's popularity among Indokistani population legitimised the new office for Mustafa, which promised the office will benefit the nation.

Although the office title indicated that the officeholder will advise the president, President Dicky reportedly never consulted Farhan in the matter of national policies or his day-to-day activities. However, Dicky still acknowledged the office.

In reality, Farhan received the most request of advise from Mustafa, the prime minister. The latter regularly asked for Farhan's advice regarding almost all major government decisions. Mustafa also invited Farhan to attend cabinet meetings, where he was asked to comment to proposals raised by cabinet ministers.

Disbandment

Merely a month after the office's establishment, relationship between Mustafa and Farhan became strained when the latter suddenly turned hostile against Mustafa. The feud turned personal and Mustafa enacted de-Farhanisation policy in 16 October 2011, which stripped Farhan from all of his offices in Indokistan's government.

After ousting Farhan from the office, Mustafa did not appoint Farhan's successor and instead disbanded the office. The prime minister utilised the momentum to present himself as an independent and capable leader which require no advice or input from anyone.

Though the de-Farhanisation policy became a blunder and was abruptly cancelled, Mustafa decided not to restore the office nor designate Farhan as a government advisor.
