The People's Republic of Jesus was a self-proclaimed sovereign state, commonly known as a micronation, that was established on 10 May 2021, after the dissolution of the Holy Empire of Jesus, it's predecessor state. It is governed as a One-Party Duighanist Socialist Republic which is governed by the Revolutionary Duighanist Front of Jesus. However, it was dissolved on 24 May 2021, after the Holy Empire of Jesus was reformed.
Etymology
The nation derives its name from the Holy Empire of Jesus, its predecessor state.
History
Imperial Era
The country was originally ruled by the Holy Empire of Jesus, which controlled a vast empire that sprawled over a large set of territory. It was gradually expanded over time during the Empire Wars, which were a set of conflicts between the pro-Republican faction of the Great States of O'Duighan and the Imperialists, a group of high-class citizens of the former Great Empire of Duighan who wished for a return of the monarchy, and to punish their scapegoats, the poor citizens. This war led to a victory for the HEJ and the GSD. However, the empire quickly fell into a state of inactivity and weakness that plagued them for over a year until the last monarch, Vincent III, was ousted by Communists.
Communist Uprising
A group of Communists funded by Wamong chose to stage an uprising on 4–5 May 2021, in an attempt to oust the monarchy. After about 5–6 days, it was successful, and Vincent III surrendered the throne.
Establishment
On 10 May 2021, the People's Republic of Jesus was proclaimed. It quickly joined the People's Protection Pact later on. However, it fell into inactivity, and on 24 May 2021, it was quickly disestablished after the leader of Wamong became a monarch, and the Wamongian government helped Vincent III regain the throne and reestablish the Holy Empire of Jesus.
